The Football Club Social Alliance is a network of European professional football clubs, established by the Scort Foundation. Scort is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit foundation headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. The Alliance is active in crisis-hit and developing regions (Kosovo, Sudan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Uganda, India and Indonesia) as well as in disability football (in Switzerland and Germany). == Goals ==
The Alliance aims to educate young women and men to become qualified children’s football coaches and role models (Young Coaches), inspiring and equipping them to become socially engaged with children living in difficult circumstances. For that, instructors of Alliance partner clubs FC Basel 1893, SV Werder Bremen, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FK Austria Wien und Queens Park Rangers F.C. travel to selected crisis-hit regions and educate local Young Coaches. The educational programme focusses on teaching the necessary technical and social skills required in the field of children’s and grassroots football. In addition, non-football related matters, such as soft and life-skills (e.g. first aid courses or peacebuilding) are part of the curriculum.〔http://cansoccersavetheworld.com/2012/the-football-club-social-alliance/〕
